The city of Alicante has a large number of beaches, of excellent quality, which year after year receive recognition from Europe, receiving the famous blue flags.  This beaches are a great tourist attraction and give the city a huge international prestige.

San Juan

One of the best known and most valued. Clear waters and fine sand characterize it. Throughout the year there are different activities and children's games on the beach where you can enjoy an open beach and a safe bath.

It has different areas for sports: nautical, volleyball and beach nets, football goals, etc.

The promenade of this beach, has many restaurants and bars, perfect for walking or running on it. It also has an area with umbrellas for rent and loungers.

Located in an area with many services and shops, the beach of San Juan is active throughout the whole year.

PLAYA ALBUFERETA

Located to the northwest of the town, where we can find the archaeological sites that make up the origin of the city itself.  The beautiful beach of fine yellow sand is a holiday destination well known by people living in Alicante and is just next to the urbanization with the same name.

With 400 meters long and 18 meters wide, this open beach offers all the services of a beach with blue flag such as : feet washer, hammocks, parasols, parking, first aid services, easy access for the disabled...

PLAYA DEL POSTIGUET

Right in the city centre, this beach is located at the feet of the castle next to the famous Explanada promenade.

Surrounded by services, it is ideal for strolling and for children to play in the area, enjoy the sun in their hammocks, do sport in the outdoor gyms, swim in the water and endless other things.

It is a high quality beach with excellent sand and very calm waters. If we add all this to its location and easy access, we get an emblematic beach of the city.

It also has an extensive parking area for all those who visit it. Next to some public toilets and bordering the promenade of Gómiz, full of restaurants and services.  In the area you will also find a great variety of hotels.

SALADAR URBANOVA BEACH

Located south of the city, about 5 km from towncenter. It is a quieter area without so many people or hustle. Almost 2 km of sand in a less urban environment and with a string of natural dunes.

It has certain areas adapted for nudism and all the necessary services.

In summer, it offers extra services to bring disabled people closer to the beach by helping and guiding them in every possible way.

PLAYA AGUA AMARGA, Dog-friendly

This is the first “dog beach” that allows owners to enjoy a swim with their best friends. Obviously it has specific services for animals and to cover their needs.  A unique beach in Europe that makes it very significant and important.

That's why it has a beach bar prepared exclusively to offer services and products to our dogs. Disposable feeders and drinkers is just one example of what they offer.

PLAYA ALMADRABA

It is ideal for those who are looking for tranquillity. Relaxed and far from the agglomerations of the city, it is the perfect place to enjoy a bath or a relaxing sunset.

With a length of about 750 meters and a width of about 6, the beach also has many services to make our holidays a real pleasure:

Feetwasher, hammocks, umbrellas, parking, first aid service and access for disabled people.

With a very simple access and several lines of urban transport that reach it.

CABO DE LA HUERTA

Just between the beaches of San Juan and Albufereta A unique sand dune and away from the rest, that has inevitably become an area of nudist coves.  A place to enjoy the sea with the biggest tranquillity and ideal for a few good dives in the sea. It measures a little less than 1 km and is mainly shaped by coves. Due to this feature, there are several trails, that can be walked throughout the year, although it is always recommended not to cross them in the hottest months.
