As of January 1st, the motorway that crosses the province of Alicante to Tarragona will no longer be tolled and will be free of charge. The many drivers who travel daily on this road stop paying the fee for a good start to the year.
The contract that granted the exploitation of these roads was finished and the property becomes again of the State, which means a circulation without payment of toll.
These roads, with a length of 467km, will be managed by the Spanish Government, after deciding not to renew the contracts for all Spanish roads, once they have been completed. This is very good news for the more than 36,000 drivers on average who travel on this road every day.
