Solidarity with the Syrian people

Guardamar del Segura and the municipality's educational community join the initiative to help refugees. Guardamar del Segura and the educational community of the municipality join the initiative to help refugees from Syria by donating school furniture; a set of chairs and tables from the former Molivent school, now demolished and converted into a municipal public car park, located between San Pedro and Molivent streets.

This contribution, made this morning, is intended to meet the needs of different educational centres in the country of Syria and has been made in collaboration with the Town Hall of Guardamar del Segura, the AMPA and CEIP Dama de Guardamar, the Association of the district of Elche "ACD-La Hoya and the Association of Aid to Syrian Refugees-Elche, being a solidarity activity that also has the participation of different associations, companies, groups and Town Halls of the province of Alicante.

Also, from the town of Guardamarenca, this attitude of helping people in need has set in motion in the educational centre "Dama de Guardamar" the collection of school material with the aim that they travel to Syria next April, through a container that will also include the furniture given by the town council of Guardamar.

This is a container that will carry other basic necessities, a lot of hope and humanitarian aid to this country in the Middle East, a territory full of neglect and a neighbour of the Mediterranean.
