The "Carnival 2020" begins in El Campello. An endless number of recreational and sporting activities designed for people of all ages so that, from next Thursday, no one is left without enjoying this unique masquerade.
For sportsmen and fancy dress lovers, the council has organised a fun "Youth Race" which will start at 6pm on Thursday and will take place in the Plaza Saint Christol Les Alez. After the race, if you still feel up to it, you can take part in a "Zumba Master Class". However, the only condition to participate is to be registered and to go in disguise.
Sport and party fused into one carnival evening where no participant will be left without their prize. That same afternoon, at the "El Barranquet" Social Centre, 300 people over 65 will enjoy the "Grand Carnival Ball" from 5.30 pm. A colourful three-hour masquerade organised by the Department of the Elderly, in which our senior citizens will be able to enjoy themselves in a colourful and musical party.
"THE BIG DAY"
But without a doubt, the big day will be Saturday 22nd February, because on this day the Department of Festivals and Traditions, led by Cristian Palomares, with the collaboration of the Moors and Christians Festive Board, has prepared for an audience of all ages, many activities that will start at 10.00 am and well into the night. The ground floor of the Municipal Pavilion will be the witness of competitions, games, workshops and dances, in our children's discotheque.
