1190 cubic metres of rubbish collected in the 2020 Beach Clean-up Campaign

Every year a great effort is dedicated to the care and maintenance of the beaches along the Costa Blanca.  Last year approximately 1190 cubic metres of rubbish was collected from our beaches.
Along 22 km of coastline, plant debris and plastics have been found. These cleaning services focus on filtering the sand, removing plants washed up in the rivers and solving problems that may arise from the rains (as happened recently with the storm Gloria).
It is hard work that is carried out throughout the year, and as it is no exception, this year they have also worked during the months of July and August, even when there was not so much tourism in the area.
This service is exclusively environmental and certifies that both the cleaning of the coastline and the maintenance of the machinery is carried out with the utmost respect for the environment and in compliance with the regulations that govern it.
